Why Choose Us.

The playgroup is a registered charity. It is managed by a committee of volunteer parents and carers. It consists of a Chairperson, a Secretary, a Treasurer and other trustees all of whom are elected by the members. The committee members are elected at the Annual General Meeting held in the autumn term each year.

We provide a broad range of challenging and stimulating play activities that promote children’s overall development. Within the group all children are supported in developing their potential at their own pace. Our key-person system enables us to ensure a planned curriculum tailored to the needs of each individual child. We offer the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum by means of developmentally appropriate play activities and a high level of individual adult input.

Our Mission
Maidenbower Pre-School Playgroup seeks to empower children to take on the world with curiosity, confidence and positivity.

Our Vision
Our vision is providing a high-quality pre-school curriculum where all children can learn and play in a stimulating environment that is fun and safe. Where children feel loved, respected and encouraged to reach their full potential. A strong partnership, between the Pre-School and home is created, liaising closely with parents/carers, other professionals and linking with our community.

Our Aims
Ensure that the welfare of each individual child in our care is paramount and forms the basis of our practice Create a safe, warm welcoming environment for all individuals that use our Pre-School We will ensure equality to all regardless of social or economic background Provide a happy relaxed atmosphere where children can make friends, learn and have fun in a safe environment Provide an environment of positivity where children can develop socially, emotionally and intellectually within their play, independently and with others. Offer opportunities for imaginative and stimulating play Enable children to be self-confident, independent and have a love of playing and learning to support their transitions to school making them smooth and enjoyable as possible Provide resources to fit our playgroup needs where children can build on resilience and problem solve in a relaxed environment Continue to reflect upon our practice as a setting and as individuals to ensure continual improvement of provision and to progress successfully into the future.
